Movie review once more

Ok, like what I said last time, this review will be about indiana jones series. I will leave out "kingdom of the crystal skull", since I review it before already.



This is the first movie of the trilogy. The movie started off by Indiana(let's call him indy) venturing into some tribal ruins with an aquaintance. At the end of the venturing through traps and deadly spiders in the ruins, he finally got the idol of in the ruin, but soon being grabbed away by one of his competitors, belloq. Indy escaped from the chasing tribe people and return to the states empty handed. In the Uni that he taught in, he met 2 army intelligence, who told him that the nazi is looking for the ark of the covenant for great power. One of the key person is indy's former teacher. Indy flew all the way to nepal to find his teacher, but instead he found his former lover, marion, who is the daughter of his teacher. After a gun fight in the var of marion's, he got marion to go to egypt, which is said that the location of the ark is at. With the help of his friend and many puzzle solving, gun fights and chasing, indy found the ark, but was again taken away by belloq. Chasing after the nazis' submarine, they reach an isolated island for a ritual to open the ark. Surprisingly, marion was being captured by the nazis and held hostage, indy has no choice to give in and follow them to the altar. At the altar, belloq conduct the ritual and open the ark. What was inside the ark is very surprising, I think it is something that's powerful, it eliminates all the nazi soldier over there, belloq and the commander. Only indy and marion survived because they did not look at the ritual, so the power inside the ark didn't kill them. Indy brings the ark back to the states, the army lied to indy that the ark is under researching, but it was being stored in a warehouse that contain multiple supernatural artifacts...



This movie is a good one, puzzle solving and jokes, it has everything that you want in a movie. Regarding of the action part, I think still can be improved, like the punches didn't make contact. Some might not notice it or care about it, but I care and noticed it, so it can be improved. I'll give 4 star for this movie.



Second movie, indiana jones and the temple of doom. This is a prequel to "raider of the lost ark", it started off in shanghai, where indy found the remain of the first manchu emperor for his client. But it seems that the client don't intend to pay indy, a huge diamond. In the end, a gun fight happens and then indy was poisoned by the drink he just drank. He mananged to grab the antidote from the client and then grab the girlfriend of the client as hostage to escape. Indy and the girlfriend, wilie drop onto indy's side kick, short round's car and then escape to the airport. They boarded the train, never noticed that it is the client's company plane. The pilot parachute off the plane while indy and the company was taking a nap. Indy woke up and decide to land on the ground, using inflatable boat with willie and short round. They noticed that they were in india and was in a village which all the kids were being grabed by the king in the castle of pankot, along with the village sankara stone. Indy in order to repay them, he decide to head into the castle. Upon reaching the castle, indy meet many officials and royals, including a british navy captain. After many investigation, he found out that the castle is the fortress to a cult, doing human sacrifices. Even indy got brainwashed and nearly brought willie to sacrifing, until short round woke him by torching him a bit. Indy in the end escaped the castle by a mine trolly track with willie and short round, then encounter the chief of the cult at a hanging bridge, which has dozens of crocs under the it. Doing something crazy, he cut off the bridge supporting rope and managed to get the chief down into the river, resulting into being torn apart. The british navy later then came in to arrest the rest of the cult member. Indy return to the village with the kids and the sankara stone, happy ending....

This is one of the not so good indiana jones movie. All the other movies, indy fly from countries to countries looking for the artifact. But this movie is just in a castle saving kids, not find artifacts. It is still good, but not really good when compared to the other indiana jones movie, just a bit too goofy. I will give 3 star for this movie.



Third movie, indiana jones and the last crusade. The movie start off by explaining how indy got his hat, I wonder what has it got to do with the plot? I know that the hat is one of the most important thing of indy, but why need to explain it? Anyway, indy was still looking for artifacts and all, until a man told him that indy's father disappear when looking for the holy grail and the nazi seems to be involved in the disappearing, Indy is determine to find his father. First start off at venice, he discover the clue and then head to germany for an important diary to get to the location of the holy grail, he found his father along the way too. Just like the normal Indiana jones movie, indy got held by the nazis as well as his father and sallah, the man that helped indy to find the ark. Indy have to solve the puzzle in the ruins that contains the holy grail. He solved it along with the nazi commander, enter the chamber that contain the grail. Only one grail is the correct one, drinking the holy water with the wrong grail will result to death. The commander chose the wrong one and indy has to pick one. Of course he choose the correct one, using it to save his father who suffer from fatal gun wound. If the grail left the seal of the temple, the temple will collapse and the effect of the holy grail will fade. That is what happened, resulting all the nazis to crash in the temple, left indy and his company alive...

This is so called the last of the trilogy of indiana jones. This is a good movie, a good end for the trilogy. The love of father and son, the action scene(excluding hand to hand combat) and jokes, all was enchenced from the first one, making it one of the most perfect movie ever. I give it 4.5 stars.

I'm going to cut short on this movie reviews, there are 5 in a row, so basically I just put up pictures and reviews, no story summary, may be a bit.



This 2nd movie start after the event after rocky 1. Rocky decide to retire from boxing and marry adrian. But he soon have to find a job because his prize money can't last, but nothing turns out good and so he have to go back to boxing against adrian's will. Eventually adrian passed out due to over work and nearly misscarriage(sp?). He actually wanted to rematch with apollo, but he is not in the mood now. Finally adrian woke up and gave rocky the encouragement. Rocky went back to training once again and then the rematch, he win by KO.

The movie basically is a further development of each character, which is a good thing. One thing bad that is the punches don't come close to make a contact, which make the fight less realistic.



rocky 3, this movie start off rocky going on a winning spree. Everyone that challenged him lost and he retain his title, heavy weight champion of the world. But he was challenged by a boxer named clubber lang. Rocky accepted challenge, but mickey, his trainer + manager suddenly fall due to heart failure. Rocky can't concentrate during the fight and thus he was KO'ed. After the match, a bit of talking with mickey and mickey dies. Rocky sudden lost of his dearest mentor, friend, manager and teacher, made him unable to train well for the rematch. Apollo appears and decide to train rocky, because he don't want the rocky that previously beat him to fall. Rocky took a while to over come the phobia of losing and finally trained up for the rematch. The rematch ended with rocky emerge winning and regain his title.



This movie is the one that pick up the series, especially the fight, which is perfect for boxing. First time that is the entire fight is shown, not overlayed.



Next one, rocky 4. This movie start off about the same time after rocky 3, everything is just as per normal, until a visit of a boxer, Ivan drago, from USSR, which means soviet union back in a few decades ago. This boxer is here for a challenge with some good boxer, the patriotic apollo rise up for the challenge. But this soviet boxer is a monster, he KO'ed apollo within a few rounds like nothing, ending up apollo died after the match. Rocky, after witnessing his best friend's death, he decide to challenge drago for a match, also a revenge for apollo. He went to a mountain in soviet union for training, since he is going to do the rematch over there. He was finally going to the match after getting he support from adrian, who at first don't want him to go to the match since it won't change the fact that apollo is dead. I won't go much about the fight, it is just like the normal rocky movie, the fight is overlay, but it is definitely great fight.



This movie is so far my favourite in the series, the concept of the USA and the soviet union is brilliant. Not to mention that in the end, rocky gave a speech about break the wall between the 2 nation. This movie was said that ended the cold war between the 2 countries, I wonder if that is true or not.



Rocky 5, it started, again, straight after the event of rocky 4. It seems that there is some problem with rocky after the match with drago, he isn't feeling quite well. When he got back to the states, he was diagnosed that he has permernant brain damage, which is common for boxer. This spells the end to his boxing career. Not only that, most of his money were being stolen away by an accountant. Now he is back to square one, he resulted living in his older apartment again. He still can't get over with boxing, so he went back to mickey's gym to be as an instructor. Now a man named tommy gunn appear, saying that he is a fan of rocky and wished to be like him, going over the limit. After much talking, rocky finally decide to be his manager and trainer. Tommy win many matches, but he still can't get to the top, heavy weight champion. Until a crook see the opportunity of tommy, money of couse. He sweet talked tommy and tommy in the end abandoned rocky for his career. Tommy indeed got his championship and gain the title, but he was not respected like rocky did. In order to get his respect, he think he has to beat rocky. He went to the bar that rocky visit often, he challenged rocky and rocky fights him. This isn't a ring fight, this is a sreet fight, tommy in the end lost and got arrested for causing trouble.

This is the worst rocky movie in my sense, rocky don't have any action in it except the last scene. Which makes the main character not rocky. The story telling also bad, I guess it is because that the director is not slvester stallone. Something also being weird, when rocky left the states for the match, his son is like only 7 or 9 years old. When he returned, miraclly that his son now is a teenager, what happened to this director? Is he s fucking idiot?



Last one, rocky balboa. This movie starring the same character as the previous few movies. Rocky now don't fight any more, I think it's because his wife is now gone, dead. Rocky doesn't have any more encouragement. He now run a restaraunt, bears the name "adrian". His son now works in a company, but it is because of his father, the famous rocky. His friends also look at him differently just because he is the son of rocky. One day, the media put on a CG fight of rocky and the current heavy weight champ, mason dickson. The CG fight turns out that Rocky won, this make everyone curious about the actual fight results. Rocky now decide to fight one last time. He have to train extra harder, since he is no longer young. 60 years old, what you expect? During the fight, the age difference did show the result, rocky kept getting the punches. At the second round, it proves that will still can surpass skills. Rocky punch dickson a lot of times and even him say that rocky got bricks in his gloves. In the end, dickson won the fight by the split decision from the judges.



This movie is one of the most hyped movies ever, 1) rocky is one of the best movie ever made, but it ended at the early 90s. 2) Rocky movie is a connection between people of different generation, I am one of them. I recomment people to go watch the rocky movies, they are just simply great. You can leave out rocky 5, since it is a piece of shit, even stallone said so.

Next review, another great movie series. Indiana Jones.

things fucked up a lot...

Ok, recently a lot of shit happned. My PP was sent back to me for rework and thus I went to look for the advisor, guess what? Only a little bit need to add in, which is stronger conclusion and sub-titles. What the hell... Just a bit, why wouldn't the advisor wrote it in the email?

Today is the grading of my taekwondo, I was looking forward to it because finally got sparring after like a month. When I enter the hall, the examiner gave that kind of "fucked-up" face. It's like he saw the most dreadful thing on earth and of all time. The hall is filled with people going for grading, so a single ground can only give 3 pairs of practicers to spar. Guess what, I am one of the left out in the "6 in a row". So fuck it, I do the pattern by myself and get to spar with a blue belt. Guess what again? Something worst happened, normally the sparring will be in 1 min, mine only got like 15sec...Yes, 15 fucking seconds. I mean, what the fuck is wrong with this examiner? I mean, other people got at least 1 min to spar, so that the skills can be used and be seen too. Then why in the holy of fuck I only got 15 seconds? It's not fucking fair. But I can say this straight in the face of his, because he is the head of the grading department. Fuck, things really fucked up.

Just now went out with alvin, rui qi and nic to search for gundam models. I saw one gundam wing 0, so nice. The wing is transparent, it's too tempting. But I really don't have the money for these, still recovering from the damage I got from buying metal gear solid 4. Oh, talk about metal gear solid 4, I finally got it after 2 weeks of it's release and I completed it, now I want to unlock as many things as possible. Attention!!! There will be a game review soon, it has been a while since I review a game, so do look forward to it.

trainings

About last friday, I retake wushu once again. What? When I took wushu before? About a year ago, so the skills are pretty much forgotten. I can asure, things are much better when I took it one year ago. It might due to the fact that the student over there is around my age, instead of all kids, make me feel better when training. The coaches are all from china, which I got nothing to complain about. The coach funny lor, he asked me what weapon I like, I said "staff". Guess what? He ask me to get a broadsword, I was like "huh?". Nvm, I can learn staff next time. First day just some basic moves, second day got some of the "pattern". I almost slice my face on the second day, thank goodness.

Now I got one thing that bothers me a lot, my hair is dropping like hell. I was like, everytime I just shoove up my hair, I can find 1 or 2 threads of hair on my hand. What the fuck? I really need to go to the watson to get some hair growing tonic or something to grow back my hair.

DIDM camp....*dead*

wah lao, hong kan lah. Ok, why first few words then start swearing, I only sleep one hour in the camp, then got stuff to do. We did photography on the first day, run around the town area to get the shots, especially the one which shows the rooftop. The clue is like shit, we asked around and we got 3 different answer. Bungis, chinatown and clark quay. We went to chinatown but no result, in the end we go clark quay and found that place. After taking the shots, we don't have time to take train back to RP, so we take cab, which cost 20+ dollars. Holy mother of fuck, so expensive. Tomorrow I will upload the pictures.

2nd day we got to do videography, so good lor, I like to do videography. I might want to go into movie industry and make movies. Anyway, we decide to make a love story, with the girl dies(sorry lah, yek). Seriously, it was so sad when it was mixed with the music. I almost cried when editing and watching it for the first time. what is the video? here you go:

that is a tough question, I got a lot of stuff I wish to do in the future. I wish I can be a movie producer or a game designer.

Tons of movie reviews

Ok, time for some movie reviews. This post will review a lot of movies, 8 movies if I'm not wrong, especially I hold 7 of them quite a while already. First one we will start with "What happened in vegas"



This movie start with a guy, Jack, lost his job and a woman, joy, lost her love. In order to de-stress themselves, they went to las vegas with their best friend respectively. At vegas, Jack and Joy met by coincident and find themselves to be able to chat with each other. They got themselves drunk and get into married by accident and of course, bed. The next day, they tried to explain things that everything is wrong, who knows that they won a jackpot and they are now fighting over the prize money. They fought on court and the judge asked them to live as a husband and wife for 6 months, if things don't work out, the divorce will be effective.

During the 6 months, they did a lot of funny things, to avoid the spoiler, I will not tell what happened at the end. Overall, this is a pretty funny movie, the comedy part are good, the romantic part aren't bad. One thing I want to complain is the selection of main actor and actress. Cameron diaz was way too old to be in that character already, ashton kutcher face looks too young. Cameron's and others' acting skills are ok, just the selection of character is not good. Overall, this is a pretty good movie, worth watching.

Alright, 2nd movie review, this movie series is being said as one of the best movie ever made and never once had so much hype other then one movie in 2006. What movie is it? Indiana jones and the kingdom of crystal skull.



This movie was set about 20 years later after the event of "the last crusade". Indy was being brought to a weapon testing site at nevada by some russian to find something to allow russian to build a new weapon. Indy helped them to find it, but in the end, indy managed to escape. The FBI then investigate Indy to see whether is he involve in treason. Indy decide to leave US and go to london for a new life, until a young man appears to ask him to find oxley, indy's good friend. It seems that oxley was involved in searching some artifact and then disappear. Indy had to travel deep in maxico and even amazon, while dealing with the russian army who are searching for the artifact.

Ok, no more for the plot spoiler. This movie is indeed one of the best movie I've watched recently, but I still got something to rant about and it is some of the worst thing to see on screen. CGI, why the fuck is there so many CGI in this movie, if it has to be CGI, just make it to cover some of the dangerous such as the falling from the waterfall and the UFO, that's enough. There is no need to have so many CGI, why? It is depressing to see so many fucking CGI, especially it is action movie. Assholes...

The other thing I want to complain is how goofy this movie can be. I haven't watch the temple of doom, but I already heard that it is goofy. This movie was also quite goofy, I don't understand why lucas can only come out with alien, why not something special? Like human from the future/past, gods or any other things. Of all things, martians... Come on, martians are already old, stop the martian thing.

Ok, 3rd review...but this is going to be a long one because I'm going to review 6 movies. It is a movie series of course. This movie is also one of the best movie series ever created, it was a sleeper hit. It also affect almost everyone in one of the state in US. What movie? One of the oldest movie I ever watched, Rocky.



This first installment of the series started with a debt collector, but with a good heart. His passion is boxing, but all he wanted is small fights. Until one day, the world heavyweight champion, apollo creed came to Philadelphia to pick an opponent for an exhibition bout. He picked rocky because of his nickname, Itallian stallion. Rocky at first declined, but he decide to go for the distant and start to train with his manager, mickey. At the day of the bout, rocky won the fight by split decision...



This movie was at first not to meant a big hit, but it the movie attract people with big heart and dream, in short, it is very moralising. This movie shows how a person goes the distant, fighting the impossible and how a person who don't know how to confess(me is one example), confessed. Not the mention the fight is perfect, for the first time, I had shouted: "right hook!!! dodge!!! straight!!! AW, Goddamned it, don't you know how to dodge?" Yes, it is that good. It had no flaws, really, no flaws.
